About
Marla Wolfinger is a senior at DeSales University studying dance and business. After receiving her first camera in 2012 Marla has taken it upon herself to combine two of her favorite art forms. She began photographing dancers and recently added weddings and children to her portfolio. Her pictures have been published in West 42nd Hell’s Kitchen Magazine as well as Bloch’s Dance Wear Facebook page. While at DeSales University she has taken countless rehearsal photos of their fall and spring shows as well as participated in a workshop by Jamey Hampton (founder of BodyVox). In 2014 and 2015 she was invited to take the DeSales University Touring Company advertisement photos as well as the Conservatory of Dance brochure photos in 2015.
As well as photography, Marla has a love for choreography and plans on combining these two mediums in the future. Marla has choreographed for the DeSales University Emerging Choreographers Concert in 2014 and 2015. Her work, “Syncing”, was taken to the American College Dance Association adjudication concert at Georgia University in 2015. She has also choreographed for Ten Tiny Dances at the Touchstone Theatre in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania in 2015. Marla has also participated in the 48 Hour Screendance Challenge at DeSales University where she has received the award for Best Choreography in 2014 and 2015, and winning first place overall in 2015.
